FDR Lectures Student Radicals

In February 1940 members of the leftist American Youth Congress assemble on the south lawn of the White House. Various shots show a crowd of student activists, many holding umbrellas against the rain. Standing at podium with the White House behind him, FDR cautions the radicals against illegal activity. "You have no right to subvert the government," he tells them. One shot shows Eleanor Roosevelt, considered to be the group's patron, watching from a White House balcony.
