Footage shows the aftermath of Fidel Castro's failed attempt to overthrow Batista in Cuba in 1953. Shots show the military officer who beat back the raiders at his desk. A sign establishes a military hospital. Inside a woman fans a wounded soldier on a cot. Two shots show the funeral for the dead in Batista's army. Other footage show soldiers on patrol in the city of Santiago de Cuba. Soldiers search a car. Shots show Batista's henchman, Salas Canizares displaying weapons seized from Castro's men.
