Stevenson Challenges Soviets
During perhaps the tensest public exchange of the Cold War, American U.N. ambassador Adlai Stevenson challenges Soviet ambassador Valerian Zorin to acknowledge sending nuclear missiles to Cuba. "I am prepared to wait until hell freezes over," says Stevenson. CU shows him seated at table, delivering challenge. Brief clips show aerial surveillance footage of missiles on ship deck.
