At a murder scene, two detectives write in their notebooks as a murder victim lies sprawled on the ground a few feet away. CUs show one of the detectives collecting bullet shells, which have been numbered, into small envelopes. Another detective arrives. Detectives use a measuring tape to measure the distance between bullet holes.
