Germans Surrender Cherbourg

Numerous shots taken three weeks after D-Day of the German defeat at Cherbourg. A soldier walks by a dead German lying on a city street. Another GI passes in front of a corpse propped up in a doorway. The surrendering German General walks beside U.S. General Collins into a building, followed by entourage. Unseen Germans wave a white flag from atop a pile of rubble.
