The Struggle For Berlin
In 1953, anti-Soviet Germans riot in East Berlin. In various shots they take to the streets, burn a flag, run away from Soviet troops. WS of Brandenburg Gate. A man on top pulls down the Soviet flag. Men throw uniforms from an office window. A building burns. Brief shots show Russians moving in with tanks. Also, various shots of distribution of U.S. food aid. Dockside shots show a freighter and workers unloading boxes. East Berliners move through border to get food. Crowds wait in street. Inside, various food distribution shots.
