Korean War Nears End
In Korea, U.S. forces anticipate the coming truce. WS shows a GI from behind, staring off at distant hills. Three shots of soldiers at work, using picks and carrying boards as they dismantle a structure near truce line. Navy planes lay at rest on the deck of a carrier. A sailor leaps for the ball as he plays catch with another sailor on deck. Also, three shots show released POWs approaching and boarding a large transport ship for trip back to the U.S.. WS shows big ship at sea.
