Railroad Construction
A steam locomotive comes down the tracks. A 19th century draftsman works at a drafting table. Sequence shows laborers building the railroad: they shovel, put down tracks, use sledgehammers. A 19th century train moves down the tracks. Shot shows lumberjacks felling a tree, clearing land for the railroad. Overhead shot shows a curving stretch of track of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.
