Military Might
The United States Air Force shows off a number of its newest airplanes. The Scorpion, an aircraft interceptor, has "wingtip pods" which fire high powered rockets. The newest helicopter carries its own lightweight dome shaped hangar made of magnesium. Another innovation is an ejection seat which catapults a pilot out of a jet high in the sky and has a parachute which opens. Next we see a slow flying plane with two men inspecting the craft's flaps. The plane takes off of a runway and flies over the Hudson River. We see the George Washington Bridge below. A wacky invention, the Pogo Plane which takes off, flies and lands vertically.
