Richard Nixon resigns from office in televised address. Gerald Ford is sworn in as the new President by Chief Justice Warren Burger, then grants an executive pardon to Nixon in a televised addressed. John Ehrlichman and H.R. Haldeman are seen individually outside court around the time they were convicted of conspiracy.
