East Coast Malaysians
Along the east coast of Malaysia, two boys carry a basket of fish, a man hoists a net aboard a boat, a man uses a pole to push his boat from a dock, men wade in the water with fishing nets. Panning shot of a fishing village at the mouth of the Kuantan River, women sort through fish on mats, children play, a man plays a flute while another beats a drum, women seated on the ground scoop something from hole to hole in long blocks of wood, old women thresh grain with long poles, another woman sifts through the grain. A grandmother, mother and daughter weave palm leaf mats.
