Cuban Shot By Firing Squad
Stark footage shows the execution by Fidel Castro's government of a Batista loyalist. Shot shows Col. Cornelio Rojas behind bars. Two shots show him walking slowly to his death ahead of a firing squad. CU shows a bearded man with a cigarette in his mouth reading the orders to shoot Rojas. The condemned stands against a wall. He waves for the last time. Camera placed behind the shoulders of two men firing rifles shows gunfire and Rojas' body crumpling at the moment of impact. He falls. Members of the firing squad examine their work. CU shows the corpse on the ground, one arm half obscuring the dead man's face.
