Cigarette Pitch Aimed at African Americans
At the end of a short about African American athletes and made for an African American audience, Jesse Owens, co-host of the film lights up a cigarette and that of his co-host. The co-host points out that Jesse Owens is smoking a Chesterfield, the brand that sponsored the film. He continues with a race-based appeal to African American to buy Chesterfield, saying "They're our brand of cigarettes."
