German POWs In France
Days after the invasion of Normandy, Allied artillery fires from a row a trees. A tank in a village fires its guns and becomes enveloped in smoke. A church spire, seen through trees, collapses. A young German prisoner walks next to an Allied soldier, then lounges on the ground with other POWs. MS of prisoner smoking a cigarette.
